Warning that developers are losing hours every week to outdated workflows, YouTuber and T3 Code creator Theo Browne released a 42-minute video on Monday explaining that prompting coding agents in a terminal is a waste of time.

The video reaches its central argument at the 11-minute mark, following an intro, a reading of the original tweet, a reading of the replies to the tweet and a sponsor segment for a database company.

"Every time you hit Enter in a terminal, that's a moment of your life you're never getting back," Browne says at 23:40, before spending the next 6 minutes describing how he felt the first time he watched someone hit Enter.

"I watch everything at 2x, so it was only 21 minutes of being told I'm wasting my time," said Dana Whitfield, a backend engineer in Raleigh, NC, who described herself as a longtime viewer and an efficient person. "Honestly, that one's on me."

Browne said the video was intentionally concise. For viewers who want the complete argument, he has pinned a link to the 4-hour livestream in which he wrote the video's outline.
